Discovery to Impact - Celebrating 30 years since the discovery of the BRCA genes

This two-day hybrid event will highlight research and innovation related to the discovery of the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes, including the work of Dr. Steven Narod, Senior Scientist at Women’s College Hospital Research and Innovation Institute, who contributed to their discovery. The event will showcase the progress made since the discovery of these genes and the impact their discovery has had on the management of individuals at high-risk of developing breast and ovarian cancers. This event is hosted by The Peter Gilgan Centre for Women’s Cancers at Women’s College Hospital with support from AstraZeneca and Merck. The receptions are hosted by Women's College Hospital Foundation.
