Health, Equity, and Research Talks (HEaRT): The Difficult Work of Confronting Systemic Anti-Black Racism in Research and Practice

Anti-racist health equity is an important goal in health care and health research. This work cannot be done without first reckoning with systemic anti-Black racism and colonialism. To engage in this system change, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary engagement is key. Through an exploration of Africentric and intersectional research theories, methods and methodologies, OmiSoore Dryden will outline needed frameworks in order to conduct equitable Black focused research.
