Women’s College Hospital’s (WCH) Black Women’s Healthcare Summit brings together leading experts to address healthcare challenges that members of the Black community – particularly women – experience due to the intersectionality of race, gender and health. Panelists include dermatologists and a patient partner who will discuss skin conditions, such as alopecia, that disproportionately affect Black patients. Similarly, WCH cardiologists will bust myths and shed light on some of the lesser-known risks that Black women face when it comes to their cardiovascular health.
